There's a whole host of multimedia tools, interactivity tools, print tools. You can manipulate pages and content inside PDF files.
Some industries are using PDF files to archive content. Other industries are using them to send documents out to client lists.
There's so many different uses for Acrobat. That's why it's such an exciting tool and I'm very excited to be your host on this journey and show you some of the amazing things that you can do inside Acrobat. So let's take a quick look, a quick run through of what we'll be learning inside this course here. Now, this list may seem overwhelming here. There's lots and lots here but it's going to be a lot of fun in our journey through the wonderful world of Acrobat.
So I'm going to get you started with Acrobat. We'll take a tour of the interface. I'll show you how to customize some things. Then what we'll do is we'll get into working with pages inside Acrobat; moving pages around, extracting pages, deleting pages, this sort of thing.
Then we'll get into adding in content; content like headers and footers and watermarks. And one thing that I get asked about a lot is how do I reduce the file size of a PDF? So we'll take some time and we'll have a look at a few ways that you can handle that and then we'll take a look at adding in some security onto your PDF files and also extracting content, like text and graphics from your PDF files. And on the issue of text and graphics we'll also talk about editing the content of your PDF files. A lot of people don't know that PDF files are editable. So we'll talk about editing text and the graphics inside your PDF files and then a big topic is going to be creating PDF files. You'll see a variety of ways that you can go about creating your different PDF files.
Then we get into the interactive side of Acrobat, starting with navigational bookmarks. If you're not sure what bookmarks are, then you're in for a real treat. A very cool navigational treatment that you can give your PDF files. After that we'll get into creating hyperlinks directly inside your PDF files and then also something called layers inside Acrobat which will allow you to show and hide content. Very cool stuff. And then we'll talk about articles, another navigational treatment that you can give your PDF files and then we get into the good stuff; adding in audio and video into your files and then creating full-screen slideshows inside Acrobat and then we'll finish things off with a look at Acrobat's commenting tools.
So as you can see, there's a whole lot in store for you here, a whole lot of fun just lying ahead here. So without further adieu, let's take a look, let's get started and let's start to have some fun.

Justin Missner Photographer – Featured Artist When I was 12 years old, my next door neighbor handed me a 35mm Nikon film camera and said “learn how to shoot with this and then we can talk.” From that day on I absolutely fell in love with photography and the power that a single image can convey to someone. Since then I have grown as a photographer. Dipping my hand into something other than film photography I decided to grab a digital camera during college.
I started documenting my everyday explorations in the street, on roofs and wherever else I would find myself.
